Be a Volunteer & Save on Race Day!

Volunteer Roles

· On-Course

Help our crew on race days by instructing and motivating racers through the course. You will be responsible for serving as our eyes and ears on the course, including reporting any injuries by radio to our medical team (training provided on site).

· Base Camp

Assist our Base Camp Team at the finish line, start corral, bag check, merchandise and throughout the Event. Be ready to give lots of high-fives!

· Registration

Help our Registration Staff greet, check-in and answer questions for racers and spectators. This job requires the use of a Legion Device. You will receive training for the first 30-minutes of your volunteer shift by our Registration Lead.

· Obstacle Officials

Ensure all group competitors complete obstacles in accordance to the rules and attempt to enforce the penalties if they don’t. Help maintain the current and future integrity of the sport! You will use a radio to report any injuries &/or issues.

· Pre-Runner

Run the course pre-race to ensure weather (or animals!) has not disrupted the course overnight. NOTE: as some mornings are dark, we ask that you bring your own headlamp. Upon completion, you will be reassigned for the rest of your shift.

· Pre/Post Race

Help basecamp setup tents & fence lines, along with other race critical festival tasks.

Kids Race

Assist our Kids Race team on race day(s) with overall production and safety of the Kids Race event. Encourage our Legion Cadets through the course!

All volunteers will be provided with a Free Volunteer Shirt, unlimited water, & Full Day shifts will have a 30min lunch. Free race vouchers &/or refunds to be provided following volunteer shift completion. Volunteers who want to race before, after, or during their shift will also need to register for the Event.
